I only have three new WIPs to show today. The first is a plum infinity scarf. I plan on alternating between a diamond lace pattern and stockinette stitch. I started with a provisional crochet cast on and plan on either grafting or using a three needle bind off to seam up the finished scarf, which ever is most appropriate and most appealing.
I’ve also started knitting hearts. I was going to knit flat hearts and leave it at that but I like the look of the stuffed hearts. I started by using the KF&B increases and I was knitting both the front and the back of the stitch. But I wasn’t liking the look of the purl bump so I tried knitting into the front of the stitch and instead of knitting into the back of the stitch simply slipping it off the needle through the back. Such a cleaner look!
Lastly, I’ve been working on a pink baby blanket. Another blanket with a checkered pattern but with more garter stitches. Β I’m enjoying knitting this simple but pretty pattern.
What’s on your needles?
Happy Knitting,
Ashley
