Day 1: 14 Days of Valentine’s Crafts

I’ve always been impartial to Valentine’s Day. It was great as a kid (especially in elementary school), the candy, the cards, the not doing school work at school and did I mention the candy. But as I got older it became more of an afterthought holiday. Like oops I forgot so here are some chocolate’s and overpriced flowers. Which to me defeats the purpose of Valentine’s Day. But I still like the thought or ideal of Valentine’s Day. A day of letting your friends and family know how much you love them. A day reminding your significant other that you love and appreciate them forever and ever. And plus, its a holiday and I love those.

So in the spirit of being creative (and because I have almost zero Valentine’s decorations) I’ve decided to create 14 different Valentine’s crafts. They range from art to gifts to yummy treats. So without further ado….

3. Line the paper over the canvas (you can tape it in pace) and use the pencil to draw over the hole. Or you can use the sewing needle to poke holes through the canvas where you made them on the paper.

Step 3: With paper placed over canvas, trace the letters. Making sure to go over the pre-made holes.

4. Cut a length of embroidery thread (approximately 3 times the length of a letter).

5. Thread embroidered thread through sewing needle.

6. Starting at the back of the canvas and at the end point of one of the letters use the back stitch method to embroider the letter. (I usedย thisย tutorial to learn).

You can also pretty up the canvas with cute designs in the corners. I don’t have those free hand skills.
