At the beginning of the year I made a handful of 2016 goals. I’ve had a hard time keeping up with them in the past, but this year I’d like to complete all (or most of) my goals. In order to hold myself accountable, I’m going to update all of you on these goals throughout the year.
2016 Goals:
1. Create 6 new blanket patterns to add to Etsy and Ravelry
2. Create a simple baby sweater that’s customizable
3. Crochet a Christmas Tree Skirt
4. Slippers for the cottage (approx. 8 pairs)
5. Knit a nice pair of socks.
Completed Goals:
1. Added 1/6 baby blanket patterns. Pattern can be found on Ravelry or in my Etsy Shop.
2. I created my first sweater for baby Mitchell. It’s not the first sweater I’ve ever knit but it’s the first that I’ve designed. The pattern is all mine so we’ll see how my sizing turns out when baby Mitchell tries it on. Still debating if my simple sweater should be a pullover or a button up.
3. Haven’t started a Christmas Tree Skirt. Haven’t even started looking for or designing a pattern yet.
4. I haven’t touched the previous pair I was working on. Too busy with the gifts for baby Mitchell.
5. I haven’t been able to find a sock pattern that I like.
Some exciting news. My friend had her baby last week. His name is Mitchell (hence baby Mitchell all over this post) and he is just precious. I love that I now have 3 boys to knit for: James (mine), Nolan and Mitchell (not mine).
On a side note, does anybody know of a great sock pattern? I’ve been searching for the perfect one and I’ve had no luck. I don’t want a basic pattern but I don’t want anything too complicated either. If anyone has any recommendations I’m all ears.
Happy Knitting,
Ashley
